Biometrics & Codepad Keyless Access

Keyless Access is the desired method many people are seeking to access their doors.

There are basically 2 methods of providing keyless access;

Code pad Entry

or

Biometrics

For some time biometric locking options have been available with 3 major downfalls;

  1. Cost
  2. Asthetics
  3. Reliability (particularly in cheaper products)

Biometrics can be fingerprint, iris scan, hand scan, or facial recognition.

The most common form for residential homes and regular business applications has been fingerprint.

Fingerprint reader locks are fantastic concepts and do work.... BUT.... you must remember biometrics are LIVE "keys" and are subject to environmental conditions moreso than static "keys" such as code pads, swipe cards and the good old faithful brass key.

If you are patient and are happy to work with a LIVE key (your finger), then please review the following options we have for your consideration;

biometric  TSE Business 5012 fingerscan by Burg Wachter $ 833.00

Offers code pad + fingerscan option to open the european cylinder wirelessly. Suits doors with european mortice locks which are found in many resdiential homes throughout Australia.

Up to 48 users can be programmed into the system, with time window access which means cleaners and carers can be provided limited access to your home. Audit reports of access by users also available.

This system is totally wireless, both the cylinder and the code pad run on batteries.

Other TSE products include;

TSE Home 4001 pincode $349.00

TSE Business pincode $ 619.00

TSE E-Key $ 449.00

ekey ekey is our wired biometric offering with 3 installation versions;

  1. ekey home_Stand-alone access system, 1 scanner to 1 controller
  2. ekey multi_ Extended Stand-alone access system, 4 scanners to 1 controller
  3. ekey net_ IP network access system, unlimited scanners, unlimited users, multi-sites

All controllers have the capability to operate multiple relays (dependant on model of controller) so that different fingers can perform various functions; eg middle finger opens door, ring finger may arm/disarm the alarm system and the thumb may turn on lights.

ekey is a componentry system which requires the installation of suitable electronic locks, or connected to existing motorised devices (eg vehicle gate) so for more information on how ekey may suit your application don't hesitate in contacting Frank O'Neill Group for a thorough analysis and quotation.
